Maya's Modjeska Canyon Adventure
This Friday, January 30th, I was hiking with my Nature School class in Modjeska Canyon. The recent rains made the creek flow again. I wanted to cross the creek just because… but I lost my balance and fell in the creek! It was a hot day so my clothes dried quickly. I hiked back in my socks because my shoes were too wet and uncomfortable. Overall, it was a good day in the wild. I highly recommend visiting the Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary in Modjeska Canyon.
Sincerely,
Maya Shull
P.S. Watch out for those slippery rocks when crossing a river!

The Third Annual Palm Springs Desert Trip!
We all owe a big thank you to the people who re-booked Palm Desert for us: Molly Gazin, Trish Scarborough, Steve Scarborough, Frannie Gazin, Mikey Gazin, Katie Lewis, and Bill Lewis! That's right, we're going back to Casa de Isla in Palm Desert.
In case you missed Molly, Liz, and Quincy's Valentine's Day party on Saturday, here are all the details: We'll be going the Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend, January 16th through 18th next year. Where is it? Palm Desert. Why did we do it? So family can have fun together!
